There is magic in a list only if it’s a targeted list, a list specifically interested in what you are offering.  The oft-repeated “The money’s in the list” should say “The gold is in the targeted list.”

The next most-heard comment is, “I’d rather have a targeted list of 100 than an untargeted list of 1000″… and that’s the voice of experience from  successful marketers, most of whom will agree that driving traffic, however you choose to do it, should be at the top of your priority list. (more…)

Search engine optimization (SEO) covers a lot of territory.  It is a technique to be used in almost everything you do as a webmaster:  list building, article writing, advertising, affiliate sales and selling your own products, and more.  It’s how you say, “Hey, look at me!”

SEO is one of your best tools, and one of its best tools is the use of keywords and keyword phrases incorporated into every aspect of your site where it is appropriate to do so.  Careful!  It can also be an obsession, so aim toward incorporating it but not being a slave to it. (more…)
